Maison Folie Moulins is a public building in Moulins, a district of Lille, located on rue d’Arras and served by the Porte d'Arras metro station. It was created for Lille 2004, when Lille was European Capital of Culture. The building is installed in an old brewery, the brasserie Corman Vandame, also known as brasserie des Trois Moulins, which was closed in 1934. Its old brewery buildings are listed in the general inventory of French architectural heritage. Rehabilitated by the architects Baron and Louguet, the site reopened to host concerts, shows, exhibitions, projections, creative residencies, and meetings. It includes several rooms, two outdoor courtyards, and two apartments dedicated to artistic creation residencies. Since 2004, it has operated as a municipal establishment and develops an artistic project at the crossroads of disciplines. It also shares a 220-seat or 600-standing room with Flow, Centre Eurorégional des Cultures Urbaines, since 2014.

From Brewery to Cultural Venue

Maison Folie Moulins is installed in the former Brasserie Corman Vandame, also known as the Brasserie des Trois Moulins, built in 1881 and closed in 1934. The old brewery buildings are listed in the general inventory of French architectural heritage. After rehabilitation by the architects Baron and Louguet, the site reopened as a municipal cultural establishment following 2004.

The complex now hosts concerts, shows, exhibitions, projections, creative residencies, and meetings. It includes several rooms, two outdoor courtyards, and two apartments dedicated to artistic creation residencies. Since 2014, it has shared the last brewery building with Flow, the Centre Euror egional des Cultures Urbaines, in a room that can hold 220 seated people or 600 standing.

Maison Folie Moulins develops an artistic project at the crossroads of disciplines and promotes a mix of proposals, artists, and audiences, often in partnership with organizations from the Lille Eurometropolis.
