Palais des sports André-Brouat is a multi-sports hall in Toulouse, opened in 2006 on the site of the previous Palais des sports. The earlier building, constructed in 1983, was demolished after the AZF explosion. The current venue occupies the same site and continues the sporting role of the location in the city.
The hall is used by Fenix Toulouse Handball, Spacer's Toulouse Volley, and UJS Toulouse. It also includes a gymnasium known as Compans-Caffarelli, or petit palais des sports. In addition, it hosts some matches relocated by Toulouse Métropole Basket and Stade Toulousain Basket from their main arena. The venue has received a range of competitions, including the Masters France tennis tournament in 2008 and 2009, part of the 2010 Under-17 Women's Basketball World Championship, the Final Four of the 2012-2013 Men's Handball League Cup, and the Roller In Line Hockey World Championship in February 2017. It also hosts occasional matches of French national teams in basketball, handball, volleyball, and futsal.

Replacement and Opening
The Palais des sports Andre-Brouat is located in Toulouse. It opened in 2006 as a multi-sports hall and was built on the site of the previous Palais des sports. That earlier building had been constructed in 1983, but it was demolished after the AZF explosion. The new venue therefore replaced the former sports hall on the same site.
Sports Use and Major Events
The Palais des sports Andre-Brouat is occupied by Fenix Toulouse Handball, Spacers Toulouse Volley, and UJS Toulouse. It was also used by the futsal section of Toulouse MFC before that section was dissolved. The venue includes a gymnasium called Compans-Caffarelli, also known as petit palais des sports.
In addition to regular club use, the arena hosts some matches relocated by Toulouse Metropole Basket and Stade Toulousain Basket from their main arena. It has been the site of several notable games, including Toulouse Metropole Basket against Tango Bourges Basket in 2013, and Stade Toulousain Basket victories over C'Chartres Basket and Angers in the presence of Bigflo and Oli in 2013. Stade Toulousain Basket also played Berck there on March 11, 2017, in its last home match of that season.
The building has also hosted a range of tournaments and international events. These include the Masters France tennis tournament in 2008 and 2009, one of the preliminary groups and the final phase of the 2010 Under-17 Womens Basketball World Championship, the Final Four of the 2012-2013 Mens Handball League Cup, and the Roller In Line Hockey World Championship in February 2017. During the 2012-2013 Mens Handball League Cup, Dunkerque Handball Grand Littoral won the final against Nantes at the venue. It also hosts occasional matches of French national teams in basketball, handball, volleyball, and futsal. Before the AZF explosion, the Toulouse tennis tournament was held at the old palais des sports, but it was reassigned to Metz.
Environment and Access
The Palais des sports Andre-Brouat is located in the heart of Toulouse, near the Japanese Garden and the Canal du Midi. It is accessible by several forms of public transport, including bus, metro, and train. The venue is served by the Tisseo bus network and can be reached by metro from Compans-Caffarelli station on Toulouse metro line B, which has linked the northern and southern parts of the Toulouse agglomeration since 2007. It is also near Toulouse-Matabiau station, part of the SNCF rail network. For visitors arriving by car, the site can be accessed from the ring road via exit number 30.
