From 1903 to 1905, he collaborated with Edouard Niermans on the reconstruction of the Hotel du Palais, a project that also linked him personally to the works through his marriage to Amelie Bourtayre, the daughter of the entrepreneur in charge of the construction. Laulhe died in 1956 in Biarritz, at villa Gordiada, and left no descendants.
