Le Bikini is a rock and contemporary music concert hall that was created on an unspecified date. Until 2001, it was located at 54 chemin des Étroits in Toulouse. Since 2007, it has been established in Ramonville-Saint-Agne, by the Canal du Midi. The original venue also hosted the FMR radio station studio from 1995 to 2001, before being destroyed during the AZF factory explosion, a few hundred meters away. Reconstruction was partly financed by the Midi-Pyrénées region, which covered 30 percent of the cost. The new Bikini was designed to meet modern reception and comfort requirements. It includes an exterior equipped with a swimming pool similar to the former site and a performance hall designed by architects GGR and Didier Joye. The hall has a modulable capacity of 400 over two levels and includes a hall and a stage. The venue has been directed by Hervé Sansonetto since 1983.

Reconstruction and Return

Le Bikini, formerly known as Histoire, was destroyed during the AZF factory explosion, which took place a few hundred meters away. Before its destruction, Histoire had hosted the FMR radio station studio from 1995 to 2001. The concert hall resumed service in 2007 in Ramonville-Saint-Agne, by the Canal du Midi. Reconstruction was 30 percent financed by the Midi-Pyrnes region. The new building, called Bikini, was designed to meet modern reception and comfort requirements, and its exterior includes a swimming pool similar to the former site.

Performance Hall and Management

Le Bikini includes a performance hall designed by the architects GGR and Didier Joye. The hall has a modulable capacity of 400 people across two levels and is organized around a hall and a stage. Since 1983, the venue has been directed by Herve Sansonetto. The fact that his son works at the bar adds a family connection to the daily operation of the site.
